Whether you’re a first-time or long-time California Museum visitor, we look forward to welcoming you to our signature exhibits, and traveling exhibit Our War Too: Women in Service!

To help plan your visit, please review the details below.

– Saturday, March 1: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm (last entry 4:00 pm)

– Sunday, March 2: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm (last entry 4:00 pm)

To make visiting local museums accessible to everyone on Free Museum Weekend, @ridesacrt will offer free rides from 6:00 am – 7:00 pm on March 1 and 2. Riders must print or screenshot a flyer to present the day of their ride by visiting sacrt.com.

*Registration is recommended to guarantee admission to the California Museum, but both registered and non-registered visitors can receive free admission on both days, subject to building capacity limits.

Visiting on Saturday, March 1?

Join us for a FREE film screening of Netflix’s “The Six Triple Eight” from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 1! The film is based on the story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion—the first and only all-Black, all-female battalion deployed overseas, featured in temporary exhibit Our War Too: Women in Service.

The California Museum—home of the California Hall of Fame—engages, educates and enlightens people about California’s rich history, its diversity and its unique influence on the world of ideas, innovation, art and culture. Through interactive experiences, the Museum inspires visitors to make a mark on history.
