The Great Train Robbery of 1963 remains one of the most infamous heists in British history. A gang of armed robbers halted a Royal Mail night train en route from Glasgow to London—making off with more than £2.63 million in untraceable cash.
Join Paul Bickley, Curator of the Metropolitan Police’s Crime Museum, for an in-depth look at how the “crime of the century” was solved. From fingerprints found on a bottle of tomato ketchup to clues on a Monopoly board, discover how everyday items cracked open a historic investigation.
Paul will also explain how forensic breakthroughs led to the conviction of gang member Ronnie Biggs, and why physical evidence remains critical to solving crime—even 60 years later.
