πŸ₯ͺ Lunch at the Library – Fuel Your Summer! πŸ₯ͺ

From June 17 through August 8, free lunches will be served to youth ages 0–18 at 13 library locations every Tuesday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

πŸ“ Participating Locations:

Arcade, Carmichael, Del Paso Heights, Elk Grove, Fair Oaks, North Highlands – Antelope, North Sacramento – Hagginwood, Rancho Cordova, Rio Linda, South Natomas, Southgate, Sylvan Oaks, and Valley Hi – North Laguna.

πŸ§’ Who Can Participate?

All children and teens ages 0–18 are welcome to receive meals. No ID, paperwork, or proof of income is required. Meals are distributed freely and without question.

πŸ“š Why the Library?

During summer break, access to free school meals endsβ€”but hunger doesn’t. Libraries are safe, local, and trusted places where families can not only eat lunch, but also enjoy books, games, DVDs, and learning materials that keep young minds active.

πŸ’° Who Funds This Program?

Lunch at the Library is part of the USDA’s Summer Food Service Program, administered in California by the CA Department of Education. It’s a partnership between the California State Library, the California Library Association, and local librariesβ€”made possible by funding from the State of California.

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
