Edgewood Homeowners:  I am attaching an email I sent to the management company, specifically Angelique, asking for information to be supplied at the next board meeting.  I'm hoping to get some answers and decisions finally made as far as the RV lot at this next meeting, specifically raising the rates for parking an RV/car/boat/trailer, who belongs to each RV/car/boat/trailer, and what is being done to remedy the eyesore that the RV lot has become.

"Good morning, Angelique - Thanks for the information.

I would also like to request at the next board meeting the leases, license plate numbers and addresses attached to those leases for each RV/car/boat/trailer in our community RV lot.  I've been to the last seven board meetings (seven months) asking for the rates for parking in our community RV lot to be raised to the going rates in Sacramento. (On average it costs $262.21 per month to store an RV in Sacramento.) I have provided the board numerous times with numbers of the going rate to park in an RV lot in Sacramento.  It is ridiculous that we are only charging $25 a month when our home exteriors, landscaping, drainage, sewer, etc. are dilapidating at a rapid rate.  I get it that it was a perk 25+ years ago to only charge $25 a month, but now it just seems like a boondoggle that board members who park their vehicles in this lot are making the decision on how much the community can garner from our shared amenity.  Multiple times people have stood up and complained about the board's reluctance to fix problems with their homes because there's no money.  Well, that's because we have the foxes guarding the hen house.

My suggestion is that rates for the RV lot be raised to $150 a month for RVs, boats; $50 a month for cars, trailers.  That is a riduculous starting point, but nonetheless a starting point.  Those are very low rates in comparision to what these people would be paying anywhere in Sacramento.  I welcome anyone to find cheaper RV storage.    Also, I feel that there should be a maximum number of vehicles allowed to park in our RV lot, just like we have a maximum number of rental units allowed.  It really is starting to look like a used car lot.  As for the screens to hide the RV lot that the board is looking into, I think the Association should have a voice on the final selections.  The logical choice would be a high-quality, long-lasting screen with a warranty.  I have sent you companies that I researched that provide this "fix."  As i mentioned in my last email, I would be happy to look into this for the board and get bids.

I look forward to receiving the information I've requested at the next board meeting so we can address these above issues.

Kathy Nielsen"

After inspection, I do not believe the power in the RV parking lot is metered separately from the rest of the Association.  The breaker box at the shed in RV parking leads back to the breaker box at the clubhouse.

An extension cord has been running to an RV for years.  Plus the lights and whatever else is plugged in at the shed.  You pay for the RV parking.  RV parking doesn't give back to the community.  The RFI generated by the cameras, ruining our lives, is also using significant electrical power.

Is the shed breaker box properly grounded to building code?  That may be contributing to the problem with the RFI.

Someone could be mining cryptocurrency in RV parking for all we know, paid for by the Association.  I hate to give the Board the idea if they aren't already doing it.

@katbar5767 Have you received any reply from TMT?

Also, they just removed the extension cord that had been running from the RV for years.  Probably under the cover of darkness...

Pretty sneaky.  I wonder what else they removed...

They are still using significant electrical power for the camera RFI, bright lighting bothering the Kingswood residents, and whatever else.
