Soil Born Farms’ Bird Walk at American River Ranch offers a relaxed, nature-focused way to start the morning, inviting participants to slow down and observe the wildlife that calls the river corridor home. Led by local naturalist Cliff, the walk explores the ranch’s trails while highlighting a mix of resident and migratory birds, along with notable plant life and other small critters encountered along the way.

Designed with beginner to intermediate birdwatchers in mind, the walk is approachable, educational, and family-friendly, making it a good fit for anyone curious about local ecology—even without prior birding experience. The weekly walks are co-sponsored by Wild Birds Unlimited’s Nature Shop in Loehmann’s Plaza, which supports the program as part of its broader commitment to environmental education and community engagement.
