In August 2021, the Orangevale Library reopened after a significant renovation that nearly doubled its size to 7,910 square feet. The expansion introduced several new features to better serve the community, including:
- A new community room with a capacity of 77 people, equipped with a projector, screen, kitchenette, and commercial refrigerator.
- Dedicated spaces for teens and children, each with appropriate resources and seating.
- Two new study rooms.
- An increased number of public-use computers, totaling 20.
- Enhanced collections, including a $100,000 refresh of materials.
These improvements were made to create a more accessible and welcoming environment for all patrons.
The Orangevale Library offers a variety of amenities and services, such as:
- Wi-Fi access.
- All-gender restrooms.
- Accessible parking along the front curb of the entrance.
- A document station with a scanner, color printer, fax, and copier.
- A book sale area.
The library houses a collection of approximately 13,000 items, including books, DVDs, and audiobooks. It also provides public-access computers, photocopiers, printers, early-learning stations, high-speed gigabit internet access, and other services consistent with Sacramento
Having served the Orangevale community since 1912, the library continues to be a vital resource for residents, offering programs and services that cater to patrons of all ages.
