We understand that many of you are eager to know the outcome of our recall effort and petition drive.
We received far more signatures than necessary to initiate a recall of the entire board by the end of the annual meeting, and we continued to receive additional signatures in the days after the meeting. The will is clearly within the community to make changes to improve our home.
I had a few, perhaps more than a few, long conversations with both Suzette and Tony of Network Community Management, the property management company we all pay for, before the annual meeting. During those conversations, they never mentioned the $7,500 in legal fees.
I am inclined to believe that they saved that information as a surprise to derail our efforts and cause confusion at the annual meeting.
As a community, we generate a significant amount of revenue each month. While I personally believe that the $7,500 in legal fees is a reasonable investment in our community's future, it's crucial that we are provided with all the information before committing to any action plan. Transparency is key in our journey to empower this community.
The community is in general agreement that we should target specific 'high-ranking' board members—the 'old guard', if you will. These individuals have proven that they don't always necessarily have the community's best interests at heart. We need to clear a path to remove the toxic adversarial elements of the board and move forward with a community powered by the residents, for the residents.
Our current goal is to encourage Pat, Russ, and Marilyn's resignations. To do that, we will circulate a new recall form specifically for individual directors rather than the entire board. By having these three board members gracefully step down, we would like to avoid the turmoil and expense of a recall.
We need to work together and coordinate our efforts as a united community, and that requires good communication. We hope this website provides a good starting point.

I talked to Tony today. Post firing. Good conversation. We have been lied to about the financial standing of Edgewood by this board.
More to come as I have time.
