Fair Oaks Village – Sailor Bar Walk

This walk starts in front of the Fair Oaks Brew Pub at 7988 California Ave. Fair Oaks, CA. We will walk through our cute Village and over to Sailor Bar and along the American River. It’s a great walk with some hills so we get some good cardio on this walk. I hope you can join our amazing group and start your day off on a good note. I look forward to seeing you on our next walk.

This was formally the Fair Oaks Body and Mind Experiences group. We are like-minded people that love to start there day off with a beautiful walk on the American River and through our cute town of Fair Oaks. These are the same walks we did in our original group. We encourage you to bring your dogs because my dog Shane loves the company as well as the rest of us.

Sailor Bar Trail

Sailor Bar Park is a beautiful natural area along the American River in Sacramento County, California, located near Fair Oaks.

Agency on Aging Area 4 is offering this fun, socially engaging educational workshop for older adults at the Orangevale Library for FREE!

A Matter of Balance is a free 8-week, evidence-based workshop offered by the Agency on Aging Area 4 that can help adults reduce concerns about falling and increase their activity levels. Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.

Come read to some PAW–some pooches! School-age readers are invited to read to furry and friendly canine volunteers and their trainers. This is a great program for struggling and reluctant readers or for those who enjoy practice. The dogs are wonderful listeners. Woof!

Kids are invited to practice their skills by reading aloud to a certified therapy dog (and their handler). Attendees may bring a book to read or choose one at the Library.

This program is designed for kids (ages 6-12). Struggling and reluctant readers are encouraged to attend, as are readers who would like some additional practice. No registration is necessary; drop-ins are welcome.

About the Guild Theater

The Guild Theater, located at 2828 35th Street in Sacramento’s historic Oak Park neighborhood, has been a cultural landmark since its original opening in 1915. Designed and financed by Joseph Lewis, it was the largest of three theaters on 35th Street at the time.

The group will meet at the Fair Oaks Brew Pub at 7988 California Ave, Fair Oaks. Then, they will walk down Bridge Street, over the Fair Oaks Walking Bridge, along the American River, up to the Nimbus Dam, and back. This is a beautiful walk that is just over six miles long.

This was formerly the Fair Oaks Body and Mind Experiences group. They are like-minded people who love to start their day with a beautiful walk along the American River and through the town of Fair Oaks. These are the same walks they enjoyed in the original group. They encourage others to bring their dogs so they can enjoy the walks together.

6. Leaving the Event

The “exit show” can sometimes be exciting, as some attendees like to give a little throttle when leaving—but remember, safety first!
Be mindful of traffic, pedestrians, and law enforcement that might be monitoring.

If you are attending as a spectator, you’re in for a great time! Here are some tips to make the most of your Cars and Coffee experience:

1. Arrive Early

The best cars tend to arrive right at the start and may leave early, so getting there when the event starts gives you the best chance to see everything.
Parking for spectators can fill up quickly, so plan accordingly.

2. Be Ready to Walk

Most meetups are in large parking lots or open spaces, so wear comfortable shoes since you’ll be walking a lot.

3. Bring a Camera or Phone

Car photography is a big part of the experience.
Be mindful of reflections in windows and other spectators when snapping pics.
If you want to post to social media, a lot of owners love seeing their cars get shared—just tag or credit them if possible!

4. Engage with Owners (Respectfully!)

If you’re interested in a particular car, most owners love talking about them—just be polite and ask before touching or peeking inside.
Compliments go a long way!

5. Follow Event Etiquette

Stay on the sidewalks or designated areas—don’t stand too close to moving vehicles.
Don’t lean on or touch cars unless given permission.
No littering—keep the space clean so the event can continue in the future.

6. Grab Some Coffee & Enjoy the Vibes

Most Cars and Coffee meetups have a coffee stand or café nearby, so it’s a great chance to sip a fresh cup while enjoying the cars.
Some events even have local vendors selling merch, car care products, or food trucks.

7. Watch the Exits (But Be Safe!)

Some attendees give a little throttle when leaving, which can be fun to watch.
However, stay off the street and don’t encourage reckless driving—many events have been shut down due to burnouts and accidents.

Bannister Park Walk – Five Miles

This is a 5-mile walk that starts at the Bannister Park parking lot. The group will meet there and walk along the American River, which offers a beautiful experience first thing in the morning. It’s a walk at your own pace, so please come and join a great group of friendly people!

This was formerly the Fair Oaks Body and Mind Experiences group. The members are like-minded individuals who enjoy starting their day with a lovely walk along the American River and through the town of Fair Oaks. They enjoyed the same walks in the original group. Fair Oaks Village – Sailor Bar Walk

This walk starts in front of the Fair Oaks Brew Pub at 7988 California Ave. Fair Oaks, CA. We will walk through our cute Village and over to Sailor Bar and along the American River. It’s a great walk with some hills so we get some good cardio on this walk. I hope you can join our amazing group and start your day off on a good note. I look forward to seeing you on our next walk.

Sailor Bar Trail

Sailor Bar Park is a beautiful natural area along the American River in Sacramento County, California, located near Fair Oaks.

It is part of the American River Parkway, a well-loved stretch of parks and trails that follow the river from Folsom to Sacramento.
